22 braids later

Today we went with Lhasa to her first show jumping competition ever! Let's not talk about how we did out on the jumping course, but let's talk about how well Lhasa behaved during the whole competition! Sometimes we have arguments, Lhasa and I, about stuff like if we should walk in a certain direction or not. Sometimes we argue about how many hoofs should be touching the ground. I say four, she says 2. But TODAY, none of that! Except on the course itself. In the first class we got all the way to the 2nd fence. In the second class only to the first. She was jumping great in the warm up though! ;) Overall I'm quite satisfied with her. I'm sure she'll be a great show jumping horse with some more experience out on the field because when she actually jumps, she jumps great. The height itself is the last problem.

Now I just finished braiding Corra and Birka for the eventing competition tomorrow. We walked the eventing course today and now I really want to ride the course! It seems great and just about a good level for me and Birka! First we have to go through the dressage and showjumping parts but then we'll get to try the REAL DEAL  :D
So tomorrow will be an early wake up and driving down to the competition. Hurray for crazy horse people who love to wake up at 5.30 on Sunday mornings ^^
